Description

Organ donor consent; law-enforcement officers. Exempts law-enforcement officers, departments and agencies from the requirement to obtain donor consent from the next-of-kin of a dead body under investigation. If the dead body is in the custody of a law-enforcement officer, department or agency, the person or institution, receiving the dead body from law enforcement shall obtain consent for removal of the pituitary or other organs, glands, eyes or tissues for use in transplants or therapy.
