Description

Child support; administrative fees. Eliminates the $25 fee that a person not receiving public assistance must pay each year if more than $500 of child support is collected by the Department of Social Services in order to utilize the support enforcement services of the Department. Read the Bill »

If a private citizen wants the 'state' to funnel the child support money a Judge orders another party to pay, the private citizen SHOULD have to pay the state a 'fee' to perform the EXACT SAME activities that citizen can do on their own.
DCSE is a 'collection agency'. Collection agencies don't work for free, so why should my tax dollars pay for someone who chooses to utilize this service?
