Comments

CG2 Consulting, tracking this bill in Photosynthesis, notes:

This bill says that if a local government officials violates your civil rights (even in bad faith) while seeking (with or without adequate training)to enforce federal immigration laws, the officials should be absolutely immune from suit.

frances roehm writes:

This is a Federal Law Enforcement issue. Why should Virginia Taxpayers subsidize and deputize our state and local government employees to do the job of federal agencies? If a Virginia law enforcement agency arrests someone for looking like a mexican they should be sued. That is discrimination.

Max L. Vickery writes:

ALL Va. Legislators MUST support this bill ! ! !

Gregg Reynolds writes:

Why not extend this proposed law to every aspect of our lives? Then nobody will have to be responsible for anything. I don't think this is a very good idea.
