Description

Income tax; in-home health care tax credit. Provides an income tax credit for every individual taxpayer who pays medical and in-home care expenses for mentally or physically impaired relatives living with the taxpayer for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2010, and who claims such relative as a dependent on his income tax return. The amount of the credit is equal to the amount paid and not reimbursed for such expenses but not more than $1,000 annually. The credit will be reduced $1 for every $2 that the taxpayer's federal adjusted gross income exceeds $50,000 for single taxpayers and $75,000 for married taxpayers. Read the Bill »
