Description

Health insurance; coverage for length of hospital inpatient stay for mother and newborn after childbirth. Requires insurers, corporations, and health maintenance organizations that provide individual or group benefits for obstetrical services to provide coverage for inpatient care of a mother and her newborn immediately after childbirth of no less than 72 hours of inpatient care following vaginal delivery or 96 hours of inpatient care following a Cesarean section.
