Comments
Treasurers should be required to mail Real Estate Tax bills to the current owner of the property.Treasurers have received notice of transfers in most localities, however they do not update their records and continuously send current tax bills to people who no longer own the real estate. There should be stiffer standards for the treasurers to update their records when deeds are recorded in the court house of their jurisdiction to promote accurate billings.
