Description
Commercial real estate tax in Northern Virginia. Provides that half of the current special tax on commercial real property in Northern Virginia be used for local projects pursuant to existing law, and half be used to construct new roads or construct new transit, provided that the projects are approved by the most recent long-range plan of the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority. The bill accomplishes this by halving the rate of the special tax under current law (from $0.25 to $0.125) and providing for an additional tax for the new construction of roads and transit at the same rate Read the Bill »
