Description

Assault and battery against a family or household member; protective order; penalty. Provides that a person who commits an assault and battery against a person who is protected by the provisions of a protective order is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor and, for a third offense, a Class 6 felony. Amends § 18.2-57.2, § 19.2-151, § 37.2-506, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
