Description

Line of Duty Act; investigation of claims; police departments and sheriffs offices. Provides that when a police department or sheriff's office is the last employer of the deceased or disabled person, then the department or office may conduct the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the deceased or disabled person and report the findings to the Comptroller. Currently all investigations of the circumstances must be conducted by the Virginia Department of State Police. Read the Bill »
