Description

State cigarette tax and tobacco products tax. Increases the state cigarette tax from 1.5 cents per cigarette to 3 cents per cigarette, adds a $0.25 per ounce tax on each can or package of moist snuff, and eliminates the stamping agent discount and the dealer discount. Amends § 58.1-1001, § 58.1-1009, § 58.1-1011, § 58.1-1021.01, § 58.1-1021.02, § 58.1-1021.03, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
