Description

Cotton Board; notice of referenda.  Requires the Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at least 60 days prior to the holding of any referendum for cotton producers, to send a notice of the referendum to a newspaper of general circulation in each locality where cotton is produced or by mail to all cotton producers listed with the Department during the fiscal year preceding the referendum. Currently, the Commissioner must send a notice of the referendum to a newspaper of general circulation in each locality where cotton is produced and to a newspaper of general circulation in Richmond.
