Description

Directory of cultural heritage sites.  Authorizes the Director of the Department of Conservation and Recreation to establish a state directory of cultural heritage sites that would be composed of commemorative and historic facilities and sites that interpret significant aspects of national, state, or regional history. The sites included in the directory would be those owned or operated by entities other than state agencies. The Director would have the responsibility of evaluating whether the facility or site qualifies for inclusion in the directory and then presenting his findings to the Board of Conservation and Recreation, which makes its recommendations. The recommendations would be sent to the Governor for written consent. Read the Bill »
