Description

Preservation of Lumpkin's Slave Jail and slave burial ground.  Expresses the General Assembly's support for the preservation of the historic site of Lumpkin's Slave Jail and slave burial ground in Richmond's Shockoe Bottom, and calls upon the Governor to encourage and promote the preservation of the historic site. The Governor or his designee must submit an executive summary concerning the progress towards accomplishing the request of the resolution to the 2011 Session of the General Assembly. Read the Bill »
