Description

Absentee voting; signature; identification. Provides that individuals who vote absentee shall be requested to submit with the absentee ballot (i) a copy of a current and valid photo identification; or (ii) a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other document that shows the name and address of the voter. If an individual does not submit such identification, the individual's signature on the absentee ballot envelope shall be compared to the individual's signature on his voter registration. The ballot shall not be counted if there appears to exist a material discrepancy between these signatures, however such ballot shall be counted as a provisional ballot. Read the Bill »
