Cigarette tax rate. Increases the cigarette tax rate from $0.30 per pack to $0.80 per pack and increases the cigarette excise tax rate on roll-your-own tobacco from 10 percent to 27 percent. Read the Bill »

Let me get this right. Cigarette smoking causes caner, yet legislators are afraid that if the taxes are raised, it will cause people to quit smoking. Unbelievable.
