Description
Length of the school term; exception to 180 teaching day or 990 teaching hour requirement. Provides that when severe weather conditions or other emergency situations have resulted in the closing of a school or the schools in a school division for six days or more, a school board may determine that time spent at school other than in the classroom, such as but not limited to recess or lunch periods, shall be deemed instructional time in order to meet the minimum teaching day or teaching hour requirement.
