Comments
This bill would free local governments to establish personnel policies and procedures free from oversight by the state legislature. Such flexibility is needed because of the increasing differences in the markets for employees in different parts of the state. Equality Virginia supports this bill.
Tracking (a fair bill that would allow localities to add more inclusive measures and benefits to their local employees)
Allowing local governments to consider merit and performance and to consider providing insurance will make local governments stronger. Please support this bill.
