Medical malpractice cap.  Sets the maximum amount recoverable in a medical malpractice action arising from an act or acts of malpractice occurring on or after July 1, 2012, at $2.05 million. Currently the limit is $2 million. The $2.05 million limit will increase by $50,000 annually each July 1 thereafter until July 1, 2031, which shall be the final annual increase. Read the Bill »
