Description

Charter; City of Martinsville.  Amends the charter of the City of Martinsville to change the date of the council member elections to the general election date in November. The measure also provides that three council members shall be elected on the November 2012 general election date and every four years thereafter, and the two other council members shall be elected on the November 2013 general election date and every four years thereafter. The terms of office of the council members begin in the January after their election, instead of the July after their election. Read the Bill »
