Description
State parks. Requires the Department of Conservation and Recreation to set camping fees annually, provides that such fees may not be lower than the average fee charged by privately operated campgrounds in surrounding counties, prohibits the construction of new campgrounds in state parks unless a study shows that adequate camping facilities are not already available in the area, and prohibits the Department from operating restaurants, retail stores, marinas, camping facilities, cabins, and entertainment facilities (i.e., amphitheaters) unless a private operator cannot be found.
