Description

Virginia Retirement System; certain employees in the optional retirement plan for institutions of higher education.  Provides employees in the optional retirement plan for institutions of higher education the opportunity to purchase service credit in the defined benefit plan with accrued contributions and earnings, and thereafter be covered under the defined benefit plan. I'm a community college professor and I want to spend the rest of my career working in the Virginia Community College System. The option to move my retirement into the VRS will allow me to do that without having to worry about my retirement or find another job to fund my retirement.
