Commending Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, April 17, 2012

 

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School of Haymarket will hold a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony to mark its grand opening on June 21, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School will be a vital asset to Prince William County Public Schools and to the families of Haymarket; the school will sport the colors of blue and grey and a mustang will serve as its mascot; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School looks forward to collaborating with parents, teachers, students, administrators, and support staff to ensure high-level learning, achievement, and integrity for every student through quality classroom instruction, authentic literacy, and academic and behavioral support; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School?s motto of ?Learn, Achieve, Succeed, Contribute? expresses its belief that a school must partner with parents and the community to give students the skills and knowledge needed to be successful and to help them develop integrity and discipline to use those skills ethically; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School will offer a comprehensive middle school curriculum, a variety of extracurricular activities for students, and a full complement of interscholastic sports and other associated activities to enhance the student experience; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School looks forward to welcoming its first class of students in the fall of 2012; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School hereby be commended on its grand opening; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Dr. Ed Stephenson, principal of Ronald Wilson Reagan Middle School, as an expression of the House of Delegates? congratulations.
