Description

Motor carrier and commercial driver's licensing. Amends several motor carrier and commercial driver's licensing laws. The bill clarifies and strengthens fitness and operating authority requirements for intrastate motor carriers. It also enables Virginia to comply with new FederalMotor Carrier Safety Administration regulation amendments regarding commercial motor vehicles and a prohibition on texting in commercial motor vehicles, and it codifies federal commercial driver's license requirements.
