AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE

A BILL to define "intervener" in regulations promulgated by the Board of Education.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. For the purposes of regulations promulgated by the Board of Education, "intervener" means an individual with knowledge and skill in the mode of communication of a deaf-blind student and who can communicate to the deaf-blind student what is occurring in the student's educational setting.
