Description

Virginia Retirement System; certain local employees. Makes technical changes necessary to carry out the purpose of Chapter 811 of the 2012 Acts of Assembly, permitting localities to exempt firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and law-enforcement officers from the higher age and service requirements for normal and early retirement applicable to employees hired on or after July 1, 2010. Amends § 51.1-153, § 51.1-155, § 51.1-169, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
