Description

Evidence of medical reports in district court and appeals to circuit court. Provides that the method for introducing into evidence medical records or reports in general district court in a civil action for personal injuries or to resolve a dispute with an insurance company or health care provider also applies to appeals of such action to the circuit court regardless of which party appeals. Currently, the same method only applies if the defendant appeals. The bill also provides that this method may only be used in an appeal to circuit court if the claim in circuit court does not exceed the amount of the jurisdictional limit for the general district court.
