Description

University of Virginia Board of Visitors; composition and quorum. Requires at least one member of the University of Virginia Board of Visitors to have administrative experience at an institution of higher education or have experience as a professor in the study of higher education. The bill also requires the board of visitors to appoint a faculty representative to serve in a nonvoting advisory capacity. The bill changes the number of board members that constitutes a quorum from five members to a majority of members. Finally, the bill removes the requirement that the vice-rector automatically succeeds the rector upon expiration of the rector's term. Read the Bill »
