Pete Hauschner writes:

Considering what is happening currently with the legalization of marijuana in Colorado, Washington and other states for medicinal purposes, this seems like a large step backwards, and waste of taxpayers' money, on the inevitable road to the legalization of marijuana.
Instead of putting this effort to stop what will eventually happen anyway, why not put time into figuring how to make money off legalizing it and creating jobs to monitor the implementation and ongoing sales of it....much like alcohol. Colorado has a combined 25% tax on the sales of Marijuana and sales the first week topped 5 million dollars.
Why does Virginia always have to be one of the last in line to accept change?
Just as a side note, I don't presently smoke marijuana, and I certainly don't think it as dangerous as alcohol.

Bill writes:

fine the users $50 1st time...then $100
Then they move to Maryland. They will surely legalize.

Lisa Freeman writes:

Why hasn't the public been told of this bill.
I think it is important to help the people that
Need it now.
With the farm land in Virginia we should be
Growing it for the hemp products rope , omega 3
Etc.
What ever you do. Please do it quick.
Let us be an example. How easy it can be.
