Description
Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act; civil damages for employment discrimination. Allows the person bringing the civil action for a violation of the Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act to include as a named party the officer or employee of the Commonwealth alleged to have committed the violation. The bill further provides that in an action seeking relief from employment discrimination connected to an employee's involvement in furtherance of an action under the Act, if the court finds that an individual named as a party knowingly or willfully discriminated against an employee, contractor, or agent, the court shall order that such individual contribute to any relief awarded to be paid by the Commonwealth in an amount not to exceed $2,500.
