Please, please please consider this bill. I am currently 43 years old. At the age of 19 I was convicted of grand larceny. I served my time and successfully completed my probation. I have been granted restoration of my civil rights by the Governor of Virginia and have had my firearms rights restored in the Circuit Court. Yet, I cannot obtain decent employment because of a mistake I made almost 25 years ago. At that time I did not know the magnitude of a guilty plea. I was young. I made a mistake and I am still paying for it. I have a college degree and even that does not outweigh my criminal conviction. I clean houses for a living because that is the only way I can support myself and my children. I need and desperately want to do something else with my life. Please, even if there is a process to apply for the expungement and a fee for such, I would be willing and it would be worth every minute and dime spent. My future is at stake. I am not getting any younger and I need to be able to obtain a real job with real benefits asap. Thank you
