Description

Medicaid Innovation and Reform Commission. Expands the list of reforms to the State Plan for Medical Assistance pursuant to Title XIX of the Social Security Act that must be implemented before the Medicaid Innovation and Reform Commission may approve coverage under the State Plan for Medical Assistance for newly eligible individuals in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act; changes voting requirements to require a simple majority vote with all voting members from the House and Senate present to delay or suspend expanded coverage; and provides that any change to the State Plan for Medical Assistance to implement the provisions of the act shall be a private option plan and includes specific requirements for such plan.
