Description

Chesapeake Bay Preservation Areas; documentation in lieu of proof of septic tank pump-out. Directs the State Water Control Board to adopt certain criteria for use by local governments in evaluating development in Chesapeake Bay Preservation Areas. The bill provides that any locality allowing owners of certain on-site sewage treatment systems to submit documentation in lieu of proof of septic tank pump-out shall require that such documentation be certified by a permitted sewage handler or by a licensed or certified on-site sewage system operator or soil evaluator.
