I am fully in support of arming teachers as well as civilians as the NATURAL, PROPER and SAFE defense of a free state. Our Virginia Constitution says:

Section 13. That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

Keep us safe from the encroaching MILITARY / POLICE state..... We don't want our schools or our communities exemplifying battle grounds with armed soldiers (police) roaming the streets.....

An arms race in the schools is the wrong answer. Any indivdual intent on doing harm in a school will do so. If teachers are armed, a rogue indivdual/student will be better prepared by wearing body armor, having tear gas/pepper spray, automatic weapons etc. Whats next, helmets and bullet proof vests for all teachers and students during the school day? In this case, fighting fire with fire is truly stupid.

Increased gun ownership and lawful concealed carrying decreases crime. Research it! All these big shootings occur in "Gun Free" zones, why do you think that is? The only solution that works is LAW abiding citizens lawfully bearing arms. If this decreases crime why stand against it, only your personal fear and lack of comfort with guns. Go to any gun range and take a class you will see that using firearms is a safe sport and can be used for your personal protection.

Imagine an America founded without guns, it wouldn't happen, we would still be a British colony. Become educated don't quote misleading facts.

It was true 14 years ago and still is:

Support this and all common sense BILLS giving lawful citizens more freedom!

No, they don't. You completely made that up.
