Description

Elections; substitution of officers of election. Requires the electoral board to appoint a substitute officer of election for any election if an appointed officer of election is the spouse, parent, grandparent, child, or grandchild of a candidate in that election. Currently, a candidate may request the removal of an officer of election for these grounds. The substitute holds office and serves only for that election. The bill also requires that notice of the substitution be given to the public and the candidates in that election no later than seven days prior to the election. Read the Bill »
