Description
Governor; operational and programmatic review by the General Assembly of all state agencies in the executive branch by Secretariat; disclosure of certain information. Requires the Governor to direct each Secretary to require that state agencies within his Secretariat provide to the committees of the General Assembly having subject matter jurisdiction and to the House Committee on Appropriations and the Senate Committee on Finance copies of documents that disclose certain information about that agency's contracts, budgets, personnel, etc., on or before October 1, 2015. The bill provides that upon receipt of the required documents, the committee of the General Assembly having subject matter jurisdiction shall convene a meeting with the respective agency head in order to raise and receive answers to questions concerning the information provided in order to effect savings in expenditures, identify duplication of effort, and establish programmatic efficiencies in the operation of state government.
