Description
Department of General Services; Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conversion Grant Fund. Converts the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Conversion Fund into a grant fund for purposes of providing grants to assist agencies of the Commonwealth with the incremental cost of state-owned alternative fuel vehicles. The grant fund will also assist local government and agencies thereof and local school divisions with the incremental cost of such local government-owned alternative fuel vehicles. The bill provides that (i) grants from the Fund shall be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and in the event the amount of grants requested in a fiscal year exceeds the funds available in the Fund, such grants shall be paid in the next fiscal year in which funds are available, and (ii) no single grant from the Fund shall exceed $1 million.
