Description

Failure to renew vehicle registration; failure to inspect vehicle; dismissal. Allows the court to dismiss a summons for failure to renew vehicle registration or to have a vehicle inspected if proof of reregistration or inspection is provided to the court no later than one business day prior to the return date of the summons and, if required by the court, upon payment of applicable court costs. The bill also requires all law-enforcement officers issuing such summons to advise each individual of the option to pay and dismiss.  Read the Bill »
