Celebrating the life of Gabriella Sophia Thompson.

 

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 27, 2015

 

WHEREAS, Gabriella Sophia Thompson, a strong, beloved member of the Chantilly community, died at the age of four on December 20, 2014, after a two-year battle with hepatoblastoma, an uncommon, malignant liver cancer; and

WHEREAS, Gabriella “Gabbie” Sophia Thompson attended Pleasant Valley United Methodist Preschool, where she made many friends and spread joy to others with her smile and sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, Gabbie Thompson inspired friends and family members with her positive attitude and imagination; she enjoyed dressing up as a princess and fulfilled her last wish to see a unicorn with the help and creativity of a local horse owner; and

WHEREAS, Gabbie Thompson will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her parents, Kristin and Greg; her twin sister, Izzie; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Gabriella Sophia Thompson; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Gabriella Sophia Thompson as an expression of the House of Delegates’ respect for her memory.
