Comments
This form of extortion should be illegal.
I'm so glad that this is becoming illegal. There is a side to this that hasn't been addressed that makes it even more imperative that this law be enacted. Victims of domestic violence and many other victims are already afraid to come forward and some never do. The act of putting a mugshot on the internet for profit endangers victims by inflaming an already volatile situation. It isn't uncommon for assault victims to become murder victims and frankly any website that provokes the abuser into escalated violence against a victim is an accessory.
