Description

Payment of wages; provision of employment records. Requires employers to provide to the Commissioner of Labor, upon request, employment records that the employer is required to keep under state or federal law. The bill provides that failure to provide the records results in a presumption in favor of a party making an allegation and subjects an employer who fails to provide the requested records to a civil penalty not to exceed $500.
