Elections; absentee voting; no-excuse, in-person. Allows qualified voters to vote absentee in person without providing an excuse for not being able to vote in person on election day. PROVIDING A STATUTORY REASON. SENATOR DANCE I MOVE THAT THE BILL PASS. SPEAKING TO THE BILL THE SENATOR HAS THE FLOOR SENATE BILL 106 WOULD ALLOW QUALIFIED VOTERS TO VOTE ABSENTEE IN PERSON WITHOUT PROVIDING AN EXCUSE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO VOTE IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY. IT RETAINS THE STATUTORY LIST OF SPECIFIC REASONS ALLOWING A VOTER TO CAST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL. IT IS AS SECURE AS IN-PERSON VOTING AND ELECTION DAY BECAUSE THE I.D. REQUIREMENTS ALLOWS REGISTRARS TO OBSERVE THE PROCESS IN A MANNER SIMILAR TO ELECTION DAY. THIS DOES NOT ALLOW NO EXCUSE ABSENTEE VOTING BY MAIL. I ASK THE BILL QUESTIONDel.
