RECOMMENDATIONS. SENATE BILL 122. THE SENATOR FROM GRAYSON, SENATOR CARRICO. MR. PRESIDENT, SPEAKING TO THE SENATE BILL 122 AND THE GOVERNOR'S AMENDMENTS, I WOULD ASK THAT WE ADOPT THE GOVERNOR'S AMENDMENTS. THEY ARE FRIENDLY AMENDMENTS AND BASICALLY WITHOUT THIS AMENDMENT, WHICH MAKES IT AN EMERGENCY LEGISLATION, THE TOWN OF DAMASCUS WOULD HAVE TO HAVE TWO ELECTIONS IN ORDER TO GET TO THE POINT OF MOVING THAT ELECTION TO NOVEMBER AND I WOULD ASK THAT WE ACCEPT THIS FIRST GOVERNOR'S FRIENDLY AMENDMENT THAT I'VE GOTTEN SO FAR.
