Description
Absentee voting; emergency voting. Provides the process by which a qualified voter is permitted to vote by an absentee ballot when an emergency either prevented him from applying for an absentee ballot by the deadline or will prevent him from voting in person on election day. The bill consolidates current sections regarding emergency absentee voting into one section. The bill also provides for the Commissioner of Elections to take administrative action to facilitate absentee voting by those persons providing emergency or other services in an area in which a state of emergency has been declared.
