Description

Program Recognition of Maintenance Priorities in Transportation. Allows counties that have not withdrawn from the state secondary highway system to submit requests for maintenance and improvement of components of the state secondary highway system to the Department of Transportation (VDOT) and requires VDOT to take such requests into consideration when establishing priority in expending funds allocated for maintenance or improvement of the state secondary highway system. The bill requires the Department of Transportation and the Virginia Information and Technology Agency to develop a website on which (i) such counties may electronically submit such requests and (ii) the Commonwealth's secondary state highway maintenance and improvement plan is available to the public.
