Description

Unemployment compensation; deprivation of benefits. Extends to five years the period during which a person is disqualified from further unemployment compensation benefits after he is finally convicted under Chapter 6 of Title 60.2 of the Code of Virginia, which prohibits receiving benefits to which a claimant is not entitled. Currently a person convicted under this chapter is required to be deprived of further benefits for a period of one year following the conviction. Read the Bill »
