Description
Protective orders; civil penalty. Assesses a $50 civil penalty upon a protective order respondent for protective orders issued under the Code sections that allow a protective order to be issued for up to two years. The civil penalty shall be paid into the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Victim Fund and used for the creation and maintenance of local domestic violence shelters. Read the Bill »
