Description
Alcoholic beverage control; new license for certain commercial lifestyle centers. Defines "commercial lifestyle center" and creates a new nonretail license for commercial lifestyle centers. The bill sets out the privileges of the license and imposes a $300 annual state tax and a $60 annual local tax on the license. The bill contains technical amendments. Read the Bill »

PRESIDENT, THIS PIECE OF LEGISLATION ADDS ONE ADDITIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT INTO THE FOUR SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT ALREADY ALLOW FOR MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE SCHOOL BOARD, AND THEN THERE ARE TO BE ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER OR RELATED MEMBER IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. MR. PRESIDENT, THERE ARE FOUR JURISDICTIONS THAT MAKE UP THIS NORTHERN NECK PLANNING DISTRICT, NORTHUMBERLAND, WESTMORELAND, RICHMOND, AND ONE OTHER, THE TOWN OF COLONIAL BEACH, AND EACH OF THEM ASKED TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THIS ABILITY. AND MR. PRESIDENT, AGAIN, THIS IS ONLY ATTING -- ADDING THE 17TH PLANNING DISTRICT TO THE 4 THAT ARE ALREADY CURRENTLY IN CODE.
