Transcript
This is a transcript of the video clips in which this bill is discussed.
Sen. Mark Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg): PRESUMABLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF EITHER CASHING THE SMALL PAYMENT ON IT, OR DEPOSITING IT. THAT'S ALL IT DOES.
[Unknown]: THANK YOU, SENATOR. THE SENATOR FROM ALEXANDRIA, SENATOR EBBIN.
Sen. Adam Ebbin (D-Alexandria): SPEAKING AGAINST THE BILL.
[Unknown]: SENATOR HAS THE FLOOR.
Sen. Adam Ebbin (D-Alexandria): I WOULD JUST SAY THAT IT WAS JUST TWO OR THREE YEARS AGO THAT WE VOTED AGAINST THE OPTION FOR TAX REFUNDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE CARDS, AND THERE'S A FEW REASONS WHY I THINK WE SHOULDN'T PASS THIS ONE. THIS ALLOWS THE CHOICE TO BE MADE BY THE CLERK, NOT BY THE SO IF THE JUROR PREFERS TO GET JUROR. A CHECK, THEY DON'T HAVE THAT ABILITY.
