Description

Providing material support or resources to a designated terrorist organization; exemptions; penalty. Provides that any person who provides material support or resources to an organization that has been designated by the U.S. Secretary of State as a foreign terrorist organization is guilty of a Class 3 felony. If such material support results in the death of any person, the penalty is increased to a Class 2 felony. The bill provides an exemption to those persons who provide such material support with the approval of the U.S. Secretary of State and U.S. Attorney General.
