Description
Juror information; confidentiality. Provides that the personal information of a juror impaneled in a criminal case shall be released only to the counsel of record in the case. The bill also provides that the court may, upon the motion of either party or its own motion, and for good cause shown, authorize the disclosure of such personal information subject to any restrictions imposed by the court on further dissemination of such personal information. Under current law, the court may order that disclosure of such juror's personal information be regulated upon a showing of good cause, which includes a likelihood of bribery, tampering, or physical injury to or harassment of a juror if his personal information is disclosed.
